Sign Up for Bags Tourney!

Grab a partner and get ready to toss, compete, and connect at the AHBA Young Builders Bags Tournament. This casual evening is all about friendly competition, good food, cold drinks, and a chance to spend time with other young professionals from across the building industry.

Food and beverages will be provided. Teams should register in pairs, and participation is free.

OFFICIAL RULES

• Single Elimination

• Simplified Cornhole Rules (Tournament Style)

• Be the first team to reach 21 points by tossing bags onto or into the hole.

Setup

• 2 boards, 27 feet apart (front to front).

• Partners stand opposite each other, throwing from the same side.

Gameplay

• Each team gets 4 bags of one color.

• Players alternate throws until all 8 bags are tossed.

• Bags must be thrown underhand.

• The team that scored last goes first in the next round.

Scoring (Cancellation Scoring)

• In the hole: 3 points

• On the board: 1 point

• Off the board or touching the ground: 0 points

• Only the point difference counts each round. Example: Team A = 7 points, Team B = 5 points → Team A scores 2 points for that round.

Winning

• First to 21 points or more wins the game.

• No penalty for going over 21 (just end the game).

• If tied after a round, play continues until one team wins outright
